CASE STUDIES
These analytical case studies show how Airport Mobility Partners turns airport data into practical commercial choices across parking capacity, yield, pricing, competition and customer demand.
Historical European benchmark
European Airport Parking Benchmark
An 18-airport comparison showed that parking leaders win through either scale or yield. Northern airports generated €1.96 per non-transfer passenger—2.5 times the Southern European result—while the capacity and revenue-per-space leaders were different airports.
Key implication
Benchmark airports by operating model and commercial opportunity—not through one undifferentiated league table.
Illustrative historical diagnostic
Athens Parking Monetisation Diagnostic
Athens had 29% more parking capacity than the Southern European peer average but generated 35% less revenue per space. With 21 off-airport competitors and an €8.40 seven-day price gap, the evidence pointed toward monetisation, direct demand and occupancy-led yield—not additional capacity.
Key implication
Improve pricing, channel performance, occupancy and RevPAS before considering a capacity-led response.
These examples use historical 2018/19 information to demonstrate AMP’s analytical approach. Current airport recommendations require refreshed operational and commercial data.
